What are some of the best death metal or black metal bands out there?

I always have enjoyed heavy metal (Metallica, Pantera) but really just started listening to and enjoying very much the death metal subgenre. I currently listen to Lamb of God, Amon Amarth, As I Lay Dying and Children of Bodom. I am eager to discover more great death metal bands and some black metal since I have never heard black metal before. If black metal is heavier than death metal than that would satisfy my appetite for more metal!!!

First of all don't listen to Amy M or Matt, the bands they named suck. Everyone else has the right idea. I would say, get into classic black metal first because it is some of the best stuff in the world, and where almost all extreme metal is rooted from (Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Mercyful Fate). Also classic death metal (Death, Possessed, Athiest, Macabre) and thrash that usually isn't mentioned in the mainstream (Sepultura, Kreator, Sodom, Sadus, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault). As for modern death metal I'd say Bloodbath, Carcass, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Deicide, Entombed, Gorguts, Grave, Morbid Angel, Necrophagist, Obituary, Psycroptic, Sleep Terror, and Suffocation are essentials. I know that can get a little overwhelming, but take your time. As for black metal, Mayhem (early stuff is their best), Immortal (cheesey as hell but classic none the less), Darkthrone (I actually prefer their death metal releases but their black metal is considered the standard), Burzum, Carpathian Forest, Emperor, Drudkh, Nokturnal Mortem, Enslaved, Gehenna, Gorgoroth, Graveland, Horna, Archgoat, Beherit, Behexen, Moonsorrow, Primordial, Sigh, Summoning, Sarcofago, Falkenbach, Vreid, and Windir.

Is a sealed copy of Perfect Dark for N64 rare?

Should I not open it?

Judging by the average prices on Amazon.com and eBay, it doesn't look like it.
The prices between new and used copies and almost indistinguishable.
Average new price on Amazon is 6 dollars, and the average used price is 4 dollars.
On eBay, new copies and used copies are pretty much the same pricewise: around 4 dollars.

I would open it, keep it, enjoy the game, then sell it later.
It hasn't reached the collectible stage yet, and when it does, a used copy will be worth close to the same price as a new copy, judging by the prices now and the game's overall value.
But it probably won't get valuable for some time.

What is the best drum kit for rock/metal?

I have a ludwig 5 piece drum kit and I'm wanting to buy a new drum kit for rock/metal. I've heard ddrums is a good brand for it but I don't know what to buy. Any suggestions? Also what is the best cymbals for rock/metal?

I'd say Pearl drum kits. Very high quality, professionally used by famous drummers. I'm not a drummer, but I am a guitarist, and nearly every music store I've ever been in has a few Pearl drum kits.

where can i buy "readers digest at home with spanish" on cd or tape?

I have a box set a friend has lent me and it comes in a big grey case with 16 tapes. It is amazing but unfortunately my cassette player broke. Do you know if it is still available or if I can somehow make them into cds or something? They're basically unbeatable for learning compared to other cds/tapes I have tried. Thanks!

Places to eat in downtown portland oregon around world trade center?

Hi everyone im trying to find a place to eat in downtown portland oregon around the world trade center preferably. I want a place thats has a setting like olive garder or macoroni grill. But i dont want to go to a macaroni grill, oliver garden or claim jumper. Pretty much some place nice to take your girlfriend. Price doesnt matter thanks all.

There are several reasonable choices within 3 blocks. If you're willing to go 10+ blocks, then there are dozens of fine choices.
