If Anyone Can Speed Its Lewis Hamilton

So the story has hit the world's press about Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 superstar, being caught speeding. Not to be blase, but it is not really surprising.

Firstly, he is a 22 year old man and there are plenty of young men who speed regularly; the fundamental difference I believe is that Lewis Hamilton possesses a Mercedes that is capable of touching 180 miles per hour. Most 22 year old men cannot afford such a car and so are not as likely to make it up to 122 miles an hour on a French A road.

The second point that can be derived from the news story is that if anyone is capable of driving at the rapid speed Lewis Hamilton was caught at, it is a Formula 1driver. Regularly racing at speeds in the one fifties to eighties, a paltry 122 cannot be seen as that fast for a man who makes his living driving at high velocity.

His mental ability to calculate risk and distance have been seen countless times on the racetrack throughout the last season, going along a motorway is probably an easy task for someone who's mind is constantly in overdrive.

Road campaigners will argue that as a popular public figure he should curtail his speed for the sake of his fans. There is no doubt that his popularity is huge at the moment and hoards of fans follow his progress throughout the season. Possessing such worldwide celebrity is reason enough to slow down, or at least not to get caught.

Other racers have been caught speeding in the last month and we have heard nothing of it; Ralf Schumacher was recently caught doing 130 km/h in an eighty zone and has been banned once before. These racers are in fact that; racers. Be it on the track or the road, the temptation to floor the accelerator seems to take over.

Lewis Hamilton has been slapped with a one month ban on his driving license and given a four hundred and thirty pound fine. Both are not serious for the young Formula 1 star. The fine can be viewed as pocket change when considering the money Hamilton earns in a season while the ban will not affect him greatly.

For his regular trips between Switzerland and England he will now have to fly, I am sure Lewis will be vexed at this fact but it is little more than an annoyance. I am sure he enjoyed his cross country drives.

McLaren have stated 'we are aware that Lewis was stopped for speeding in France whilst driving in a private capacity.' They were insistent that it would not affect his professional driving career, and nor should it, racing drivers have always been caught out by driving offences.

Only if you drive for Ferrari and get caught in Italy will you get away with it, every other police force in the world relishes the chance to catch racing drivers such as Lewis Hamilton as it sets an example and gives great publicity. Hamilton can consider himself fortunate he was not in Italy, as home of McLaren's major rival it is a certainty the penalty would have been harsher.

Racing drivers will always drive at high speeds, it is there trade and seemingly they operate at a higher brain speed than the rest of us. This does not however give them reason to speed, they may well be able to compute driving situations with great rapidity but the rest of us on the road cannot.

It is understandable that road safety campaigners will be up in arms about the incident but Lewis has received his punishment, although it will probably happen again in his career I am sure it will make him stop and think for as long as his hyperactive brain will allow.

How to label all the world countries and their Capitols as quickly as possible?

I have to write down and label all of the world's countries and capitols. The only method I know is to put it the country one by one on googlemaps and doing it that way. Do you know a faster way of doing this?

As you or your band performs, be it from club to club around town or nationally, there is usually one thing lingering in the back of your mind...

How do you go about getting that one big break that will push you ahead toward greater recognition and success artistically?

You know it happens to artist and bands all the time. That time could come soon for your group to break out of the local scene and land that recording contract or national tour that will get you on your way to greater success.

You know there are tried and true methods. Having a great demo or being interviewed on the local radio shows at once seemed like a good idea. But times have changed in the music industry. In this article, we will discuss some up-to-date information and inside tips on how to get noticed in this tough business, in short I�ll give you some info that will literally place on the music industry radar screen. The knowledge that I�m about to share with you will work for any and everyone: Songwriters, Singers, Musicians, Rappers and for all genres of music: Pop, Rock, Rap, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Grunge, Country and everything in between!

Where are the Scouts?

You have had the thought run through your mind as you perform for an enthusiastic crowd in a club or bar. Are there music industry scouts in this crowd? Maybe you just laugh it off but you have heard that they are out there watching bands like yours and signing the talented ones to develop into stars.

What you have heard is true. Industry insiders tell us that now more than ever, scouts are everywhere. You may worry that you are not living in one of the big �music industry towns� like New York, Chicago, L.A. and Nashville but that isn�t important. Here are a few of the newest methods and venues you can use to get yourself noticed:

* Perform, Perform, Perform. These days the local club scene is the most important way to get noticed. Don�t wear yourself out chasing agents or scouts. If your performances are strong, that will create a buzz and the word of mouth will get you noticed. Then the scouts will come to see you rather than you having to go and chase them.

* Build your relationship with your audience. Insiders tell us that scouts will come to a show for a musical venue they don�t even understand. If you are doing something bold and new that they are not able to evaluate musically, they will go by the crowd. If your audience responds with excitement and enthusiasm, that is what gets the eyes and ears of music executives. So pour yourself into the people for whom you are performing. * Never miss a chance to network but look for innovative ways to advertise yourself as well. The internet has lots of new and interesting sites that scouts are starting to watch for new talent. If you have the resources, get a web page up and get some MP3 samples of your performances out there. Is the Demo Dead?

From what we have learned so far, you would think the demo is ready to go into the hall of fame as an out-of-date tool. But the demo tape still has some real value to you. The best demo is one that showcases not only your musical skill but the personality and the performance skill of you or your band. If you can have someone put a demo together from one of your performances, that gives an agent or scout a bit of a feel for what to expect from you when he comes to see you.

So treat the demo as part of your bag of tricks but it isn�t the thing that is going to seal the deal. If a scout likes what he hears or at least his curiosity is peaked, he will then seek out ways to see you live. Then we are back to the club atmosphere, your relationship with your crowd and your performance. Those are the things that will get you noticed in a way that will lead to bigger breaks. Video Didn�t Kill the Radio Star

Radio used to be the primary medium for distributing information about new acts and for getting your music played and noticed. But changes in ownership of radio stations and in how they are programmed have changed that too. Tlc - 3d Pop Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Pop group TLC have released their CD entitled 3D. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe TLC fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of 3D their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.

It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it's own.

3D has a nicely varied, mix of 13 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly talented musicians. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

Overall 3D is an outstanding release. Quite possibly TLC's best to date. Really sensational from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Pop music you'll enjoy this CD.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 13 - Give It To Me While It's Hot. What a nice track!
