Why do people find it hard to believe that Oprah could have dated John Tesh?

That's what was reported on the radio and in the new book by Kitty Kelly that's out or is coming out soon. John has already confirmed they say, that he and Oprah did date. But in the Kitty Kelly book, she says that they shacked up together. This was supposedly back when he and Oprah were in college. Shucks, he's probably wishing that he had married Oprah with all that money she's got lol.

It is hard to believe. As Jimmy Kimmel said "Can you imagine a bunch of little Tesh-Oprahs running around?" But sadly it appears that racism put an end to that. I like Oprah and I feel sad that this happened to her,but on the other hand it is part of what made her the person she is today. Kittey Kelly is not the person who should have told this story.

Can you view past Rock Band 3 cinematics?

So I noticed that when you level up your band in Rock Band 3, you get a small, cool cinematic featuring your band. My friend and I were wondering if you could view past cinematics, as he was out of the room when I leveled up and it came on.

If you can, where do you go to view past cinematics?

On the main menu, go to *Customize*, then *Customize Band*. Once there, just select *View Band History*, and there's the list of cinematics you've unlocked.

How does one get rid of oil pastel using chalk pastel?

I made a mistake using chalk pastel and there are seemingly permanent marks STUCK to the grains/grooves of the paper. How do I get them off? It looks hideous with the smooth, chalky texture everywhere else.

The only thing I can think of is to scrape it off using a metal blade/ edge of a ruler. As Kris said, a solvent is likely to ruin the piece (especially if it's on paper).

If it is a really big part you could try cutting or tearing a piece of paper to go over it (preferably ending at outlines/ quick tone changes) and simply using chalk pastel over that (make sure the paper is stuck down smoothly.

Another option is to incorporate it into the image: oil pastel can create a bright gemmed effect: depending on which part of the image it covers, you could make it into: a stain on a table, a glass object/ brightly coloured vase. Otherwise, try blending the oil into the chalk to make it less noticeable.

Good luck, oil pastel has a high tendency to stick.

Using various kind of filters. Is there a website which tells us WHEN it is effective?

I bought a circular polariser and it turned out, it wasn't that kind of bluer skies & whatever I expected. I then found out that I am supposed to take 90degrees e or w or something like that.

Is there a website/book which explains when it is effective?

There are only three primary filters used on dSLR cameras.

The protective UV or clear filter to protect against this from happening to your lens instead of the filter and lens hood.

The second filter used by some photographers is the polarizing filter. Until a decade ago, most photographer took at least one or two classes in photography to assure near perfect exposures (36 exposure rolls limited the amount of experimenting as well as, "hold the shutter release down and hope for a good shot syndrome). It was in these classes that one learned about the effective use of polarizing filters, that is when the cameras lens is pointed 90 degrees to the suns arc as well as other details about lens coverages, colour balance using special films and other techniques that prevented wasted film.

The last filter that some photographers use, is the ND (neutral density) filter. This is used when the photographer wants to take long exposures, but there is far too much light to shoot at say 1/8th second to capture flowing water to make it look like cotton.

There are some specialty filters made by Cokin that cover just about any possible combination of graduated ND and coloured filters.

Perhaps someone needs to make such a website that covers all the variations in the world of filters.

No longer needed are the conversion filters used when shooting tungsten film in bright sun or daylight film under incandescent lighting and all those warming and cooling filters in between. At one time, there was even some filters made for shooting both daylight and tungsten film under fluorescent lamps, the FLD and FLB respectively. "B" referred to tungsten film.

At one time, photographers used to buy a full case of their most used film and shoot colour charts to determine if the film was dead on or if they needed to use a colour correction (CC) filter when using that batch of film. It as NOT uncommon to see a pro with a 75 mm 5 point CC filter in a filter holder shooting while on assignment for a magazine. The transparencies had to be perfectly colour corrected and perfectly exposed if a photographer wanted to get a job from that magazine in the future.
