Bands like Chimaira, suffocation, megadeth?
Looking for bands like Chimaria, suffocation, megadeth, and dethklok...high in volume with technical guitar transitions.
I dont like Children of Bodom, Aborted, Slipknot, disturbed etc etc....please no punk, wanna be hard bands!
And i know most of the classics like Blacksabbath and Van Halen...so newer stuff please
thanks
Been wondering this myself, at least for Chimaira. These guys know metal as far as I'm concerned, I love the really heaviness they have in their guitar riffs, I know of no other band that can match Chimairas unique playing style, it goes unmatched. All I can compare them to as far as crunchy sound, and the heavy use of guitars goes would be a flip between Slayer and probably Prong, I don't like prong that much, but some of their stuff is very close to what Chimaira does if you're just after the musical aspect.

Can anybody help me with taking audio of a blu ray dvd, r send me a link to where I might get the audio detail?
I want to take the audio of Michael Jackson's This Is It, for two songs, Human Nature and I Just Can't Stop Lovin' You or where a link to where I could get a link to the songs. Don't want to do any thing illegal, just 2 amzing versions of those songs. Thanks
An easy way to do this would be to connect the red/white RCA audio outputs of your blu ray player to the line input (blue connector) of your computer. You could use any audio recorder software to record it - here is some great, free audio recorder software:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
You'll need a RCA to 3.5mm cable too:

Elvis Presley and His Music From the Heart
When Elvis began putting together his collection of music for his comeback, he was able to reflect on many years of a great range of popular American music, including his own and that of other people.
Elvis was blessed with a natural talent to sing just about anything, but he also needed to feel as comfortable with his selected material, as he was around the guys that worked for him.
Elvis was well aware he had an audience to please, but if he was in the mood and wanted to do something different, he would also please himself, as long as he did it his way.
In his selection of music were the Elvis Golden Oldies, which were always great crowd-pleasing favorites they included??That?s All Right (Mama),? ?Cant Help Falling In Love,? ?Love Me Tender,? ?Heartbreak Hotel,? ?All Shock Up,? ?Hound Dog,? ?Trying to Get to You,? ?Jailhouse Rock??many of these songs are now used in a shortened form and put in suitable medleys.
The new range of material that found its way into his performance says a great deal about his existence and image.
Elvis required a personal ?hold? in everything that he did; which might come from the style of the music, but most of the time it was more likely to come from something in the lyric, which would allow him to express himself.
Elvis knew that the only thing that would help the music stay fresh, alive, and take a hold on the audience was to add his personal touch with a meaningful opening.
Elvis was not one to sing a song unless he felt it; he had to feel it in his heart, for that?s where he sang from and that?s what made him a famous star.
No matter what he sang it had to fit him perfectly, and it is obvious when going through songs he sang over the years, and hearing the personal connections that were evident in his life.
The guys in the group were often on the lookout for new material to try out on the boss, like Simon and Garfunkel?s moving classic, ?Bridge Over Trouble Water,? a song Elvis found instantly challenging and emotionally powerful.
When Elvis performed ?Bridge Over Trouble Water,? his trembling body quivers, his head rolls on his shoulders, while clinching his fists letting the sweat pour down his face, and when he gets to ?I?ve Lost You? he is down on his knees as if death is the only option: as the tears streak the mascara.
Creedence Clearwater Revival?s traditional, ?Proud Mary,? allowed the kind of vocal expression Elvis loved, as did Tony Joe Whites ?Polk Salad Annie? also having the same excited reaction.
Then there were the songs he sang for special reasons.
A Marty Robbinss hit, ?You Gave Me A Mountain? expressed his need to persist, remain strong, continue with strength after his divorce, and the sadness of being without his daughter.
?American Trilogy,? one Elvis put together, as a tribute to the dignity of his country and its tradition. Only Elvis could have pulled it off with such perfection.
In the end Elvis variety of musical material, remained a very profitable mixture of his past and present; his music was the glue that held together all those dissimilar basics in his life.
In private Elvis enjoyed the theatrical numbers with vocal back up, he was attracted to the many voices hitting at one time, from the lowest bass to the highest peak tenors and sopranos reaching the same note. Elvis loved the force behind it.
Mostly, Elvis took pleasure in listening to gospel. Elvis strongly believed, there was nothing as influential or inspirational than the good gospel music, he would carry around a case of a hundred or so albums?most of them were gospel music.
Listening to his chosen gospel music was a means for Elvis to get in touch with his roots; he often used this music for giving praise to the Lord when feeling humble and thankful, which he regularly did. The Bible says to sing praise and lift your voice to Him.
When Elvis sang ?How Great Thou Art? he felt it in his soul, with such feeling and meaning he had the power in him to move mountains. Elvis quite often liked to listen to Mahalia Jackson, who was to Elvis, the Queen of Gospel.

This Economy Is No Fairy Tale, But ...
we can sure draw some analogies.
Reflecting on the United States economy and the economic woes reported from the rest of the world's financial systems these past few weeks, we have noticed a possible correlation to the childhood fairy tale "Chicken Little."
You probably recall from this old English folk tale that a tiny little chicken called Chicken Little felt a rose leaf fall on her tail one day and immediately ran in great fright crying "the sky is falling!"
First one she told was Henny Penny who joined her in spreading the message. On their way to tell the king, they met Ducky Lucky who joined their chorus. Then Goosey Loosey and Turkey Lurkey also voted for the tale.
Did we say "voted"? Well, they joined the parade of characters till they all met Foxy Loxy who lured them into his den by promising to tell them where the king lives.
The story goes that Foxy Loxy led them into his den and they never came out again.
You can draw your own conclusions about what happened to Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, and Turkey Lurkey, but you can be sure that the foxy one came out of that deal okay.
Now there are those who predict that our economy will never emerge from the den it's in, but that's not our area of expertise, so we won't speculate here. Our business is running a business and we plan to keep doing just that.
We believe in persistence and hard work. Those whose wares we represent have their hopes tied into the products we represent. We don't' plan to let them down. We plan to be here; to keep on working and hopefully only paying our fair share to the common good in order to remain in business.
We hope to pass along many good deals to you in the coming months. We don't expect to ever be a Wall Street presence; we are what has come to be called a Main Street business.
We are drowning out those who are trying to spread the message that the rose that fell on Wall Street was actually a thorny stem or the whole bush. We know based on history that some people will come out of this slumping economy smelling like a rose.
We know that some people are simply going to see and seize opportunity out of this turmoil and disruption. Some people are not going to fare so well and are going to need assistance. We support many organizations trying to provide that help.
In some respects poverty and unemployment are big business. Like a friend of mine said after being unemployed for four months a few years ago, "if it weren't for unemployment, a lot of people would sure be out of work."
Think about it. The unemployment system here in the United States is huge. We hope our customers don't have to file to collect, but if you do, you will encounter counselors, clerks, and a cast of helpers that include those who actually keep the records and generate the checks to say nothing of the landlords collecting rent for the space these agencies use. If someone wasn't unemployed, those people surely would be. Even our culture of helping those with less actually employs lots of people to distribute money, food, shelter, clothing, and other things of need.
We can't predict where the large-scale economy is going, but we do believe that it will keep going and those who don't give up on it will be a big part of its recovery.
We plan to be just as "foxy" as we can be to lure you into our den and connect you with some of the finest products from around the world. We can assure you that you'll come out okay.
Please Reply and Share with us at: http://i-shoptheworld.com/2008/10/29/this-economy-is-no-fairy-tale-but/ all Your thoughts, Comments, etc. on any/all of the following related to the current Economic situation and How we may All work Together to Improve our World Economy for Everyone's Mutual Benefits!
, namely:
- Do You really think the economy is as bad as the news media has been portraying it?
or ...
- Do you think this is all just a fairy story they/the media have concocted, just like Chicken Little, to convince everyone that the "sky is falling"?
and if so ...
Why?
- Do You think the media telling everyone the economy is bad, just like Chicken Little, is creating a "self fulfilling prophecy" and making the economy worse than it is really otherwise?
- Is the economy in Your country "better" or "worse" than as reported by the news media in the United States?
- How has any of this affected your personal finances and/or family finances thus far?
- What are You doing Now to prevent the reported economic situation from (further) affecting Your personal finances and/or family finances?
- What do You think can and/or should be done to improve the Global Economy?
- And Who should be doing these things to improve the Global Economy?
- What may we All do to work Together to Improve our World Economy?
for Everyone's Mutual Benefits!
We look forward to hearing All of Your thoughts, Comments, etc. on any/all of these topics related to the current Economic situation and How we may All work Together to Improve our World Economy for Everyone's Mutual Benefits!
