How to play ipod videos on my tv with only a red/white av jack?

I know you can play videos on a tv with a red/white/yellow av jack, but I can only find one with only red and white. Is it possible to play videos on the tv with it? I've tried everything but can't seem to find a way to gt it to work =/

And I know the tv signal has to be set to on

Unfortunately iPods require special cables from either Apple or some other manufacturer that are specifically designed to play audio and video from an iPod. Or you might know someone who has a small stereo with a built in iPod dock that might have the outputs for audio and video. There is no way to use regular a/v cables like you would find with DVD players or camcorders to play video files from iPods.

The Legacy of the Red Marble

My father was a pastor/evangelist. We basically lived in church. My love for the Lord was exciting and alive! Through the years as I grew older and experienced many wounds from within the body of Christ, I became the proverbial ‘prodigal daughter.’ One day many years later when my Dad was visiting me, he took some change out of his pocket, and in the middle of it was a red marble. I remarked, “Dad, why do you have that red marble in your pocket?”  He picked it up, held it up to the light, and at that point the red marble seems to glow. He answered, “I carry this red marble in my pocket as a reminder.” I replied, of what? He looked deep into my eyes and began to speak, “as a reminder of the last drop of blood that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shed for me on the cross. Here, I want you to have it, so you too will have a reminder of Calvary.”

I still remember how those words pricked my heart, for I was estranged from the Lord and not ready to surrender. Years later however I repented and came home to my Heavenly Father, and many years after that my Father went home to be with his Heavenly Father. At my Dad’s funeral people from everywhere were coming up to me carrying their red marbles, some were made into earrings, some into pendants, and some into tie tacks, some just mixed in their change. They all told the same story, your Father gave me this red marble and through it I gave my heart and life to Jesus Christ. A list was found in his records of all the red marbles he had bought and given away; it totaled 10,000. A crystal bowl sat by his casket full of red marbles and all were invited to take freely. As I said farewell to my earthly Father, my Heavenly Father spoke into my heart. He said, “Your Dad wasn’t able to leave you an earthly inheritance, but what he left you money can’t buy. He left you an eternal inheritance. He left you the legacy of the Red Marble.”

So many people had stories to tell of my Dad and his Red Marbles. A few months after Dad’s death I received a letter from my niece, his granddaughter. She was in college and it read like this…”Here is a copy of a poem that I wrote about Granddaddy McDonald right after he died. I wrote this for English class. The teacher picked this to be published in a literary journal at the college. I thought you might want a copy.

They were supposed to remind us to pray

for him. Don’t forget ol’grampa. Short talks say he loves you.

Finding one while looking for a lost jewel reminds you of your time.

Thousands had them, but none like mine. Straight from

 the hands of the man who loved so much.

The distance between us caused us to forget.

He always expressed his love for me.

My sadness soon followed regret for

lost contact. “Pray for me” ended the call.

The hang up triggered memories we had.

Suddenly sickness came. Faster and faster

The day arrived. The call came. He loved so much.

Beautiful sights, loved ones, and great health await.~

As I walked in the room to view my Father’s body for the first time after he died, I couldn’t believe my eyes. On his chest on lay a tie tack and it was made with a red marble. There was a light shining down upon his body and it hit the marble dead center causing it to light up. It was lying across his heart. Anywhere I went in the room, as I would look back at my Dad, the tie tack would shine like a beacon in the darkness.

My mind would race back to the many times he had shared with me the story of the red marble. Even then at every glance, he was telling me the story of the red marble all over again and to all those who came. The blood that covered his heart cried out to all those who would listen. It was the story of the cross, of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

It still cries out today to every one and to you, the reader. It cries out love, redemption, forgiveness, restoration, and life everlasting. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 If you don’t know Jesus, if you don’t have a personal, intimate relationship with Him, you can, and you can have it today, right this minute. He is waiting for you with out stretched hands and open arms. He will forgive you. He will restore you. He will heal you. He will make you new again, if you will only ask and believe.

Please pray this prayer with me: Father, I am a sinner. I repent of my sins and ask your forgiveness. I ask you to come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord. I too want to be a part of the Legacy of the Red Marble, for it represents your blood and in your blood lays eternal life. Thank you, in Jesus Name, amen.” If you prayed this prayer you have just become a part of the family of God, a child of the King. The blood of Jesus has washed you. You have become justified, made righteous, just as if you had never sinned. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. I rejoice with you for you have entered into the greatest blessing and received the greatest gift ever given to mankind. This gift is Jesus; this gift is salvation.

Perhaps you are where I once was, the prodigal son or daughter. Perhaps your heart once burned with love for your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but somehow you lost your way. Somehow you lost your first love and were distracted and drawn away into your own world, your own way. My friend the “via delarosa,’ [the way of the cross] still leads home. The Father stands ready, waiting and longing for your return.

He will run to you, embrace you, forgive you, and welcome you back into His eternal kingdom. Please pray this prayer with me…”Father, I repent of my sins and ask your forgiveness. I come back to you and I thank you for receiving me, for forgiving me and restoring me to the family of God. Thank you, in the name of Jesus.” My friend the Father has begun the “welcome home party,” and you are the guest of honor. “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 I rejoice with your restoration and new beginning.

For those of you who are experiencing times of weariness, loneliness, pain or sorrow, the blood will never lose its power; power to edify, build up, heal, restore, refresh, and renew. Power to bring hope, to restore a lost vision, power to fulfill lost dreams, rebuild broken relationships, power to fight the good fight of faith, and the power to keep the course and finish the race. “I am the repairer of the breach and the restorer of the streets to dwell in.” Isaiah 58:12 Pray this prayer with me…”Father, I ask you to restore to me the joy of my salvation. I repent of my sins once again and ask you to renew my love and devotion to you. Stir up the gifts that are within me and restore my courage, hope and destiny. Thank you, in the name of Jesus.”

Everything we will ever want or need lies in the blood of Jesus. There is seven-fold power in the blood of Jesus. As the Levite priests sprinkled the blood of the sacrifices on the altar seven times with the hyssop, for the forgiveness of the sins of the Jewish people, the blood of Jesus will do the same for more and us today.

The blood of Jesus redeems us, cleanses us, justifies us, sanctifies us, gives us life, intercedes for us, and gives us access to the Father. What better reason could we have to carry a red marble in our pocket? What better reason do we need to continue the Legacy of the Red Marble?

Patty Griffin Flaming Red Rock Music CD Review

Flaming Red is the latest Rock CD put out by the highly talented Patty Griffin who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Patty Griffin fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one.

This one grabs your attention right out of the gate with Flaming Red and doesn't let go until the very last note of the very last song Peter Pan, which by the way is another great track.

Flaming Red has a pleasantly varied, mix of 13 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are her own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

Flaming Red is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It’s quite simply great listening. A must buy for the Rock fan.

While this entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2 - One Big Love, track 10 - Big Daddy, and track 13 - Peter Pan

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Flaming Red. This is a great track!

New Heart Health Findings--red Wine for God's People

When you receive the Seal God will take away from you the tendency to drink unworthily of Jesus Christ. So you will be able to enjoy drinking red wine in moderate amounts for the health benefits like heart health shown in a new study.

In November 2007 the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published a new study showing that after a month of drinking two glasses of wine each day, women had less inflammatory substances in their blood.

The researches looked at how wine may affect inflammation. Inflammation happens when the body responds to injury. Two major health risks--obesity and smoking--are two stressful things that cause inflammation in the body.

Although they do not cause as much inflammation as an injury, they cause enough constant low-level inflammation to build up plaque in the artery walls, according to the theories of researchers.

And it is believed that inflammation makes arteries more susceptible to rupture leading to blood clots which could cause heart attacks. Plaque and heart attacks are definitely two things you want to avoid.

These studies show how wine, and red wine in particular, may help heart health in a new way not known before now. Many studies have shown that wine drinkers tend to have lower incidences of heart disease than those who do not ever drink.

And research has shown that wine drinking raises good HDL cholesterol, which is one explanation for the lower rates of heart disease among wine drinkers. but is not the whole picture.

Researchers in this new study say they want to figure out just exactly how wine protects the heart. That way they can prove that there is a direct link between wine and heart health.

Studies have shown wine drinkers have better heart health, but wine may not be the reason. Wine drinkers may have a better diet or get more exercise or something else known to be a direct link to heart health.

In this study, 35 healthy women were taken, who were regular moderate wine drinkers. Each woman spent a month eating a heart-healthy diet without any wine at all.

Then followed a month of drinking a glass of red wine with 2 meals. Then a month of white wine followed the red wine. After the month of red wine their good cholesterol raised and inflammatory substances lowered.

Of course red wine had more of this good effect on the women than white wine. Red wine has more polyphenols which are the antioxidants famed to be found in it, and these may be what is reducing inflammation.

When you receive the Seal God will give you the ability to drink moderately--to truly drink to your health. More women die of heart disease each year than men, so anything to help heart health is needed.

If you have had trouble with drinking excessively and binge-drinking you may not feel you are able to drink red wine in moderate amounts. Of course you do not have to drink red wine for your health.

You could always drink green tea and get similar antioxidants. That will help your health too. But God wants you to break free of your addictions where you drank in an unworthy manner, and He will give you complete freedom from them when you receive the Seal.

A Lawless American Frontier Called the Sanctuary City

Nearly two decades ago, eighteen major American cities adopted the phrase "Sanctuary City" to be used in connection with illegal immigrants who reside within their jurisdiction. The term created a practice that did not allow municipal funds or resources to be used to enforce federal immigration laws. As a result, State police and municipal employees could not inquire about anyone's immigration status.Over the years, the concept of the Sanctuary City has spread to other cities throughout America. This dubious system of law enforcement has led to two governments in America, a federal government that was responsible, but often ineffective, in enforcing national immigration law and a local government that acted as a de facto sponsor for illegal immigration.This contradiction in the enforcement of immigration law, along with a lack of security along the United States border with Mexico, has led to the arrival of twelve million illegal immigrants who currently reside in United States cities.Meanwhile a lack of cooperation between the local and federal government on the issue of illegal immigration has created a standard of law enforcement for the illegal alien that is often far different than that imposed on the ordinary American citizen. Consider the following two examples of illegal immigration law enforcement and you will see why the Sanctuary City has become the new American lawless frontier.San Francisco is a city that has been a true sanctuary for illegal alien and convicted felon, Edwin Ramos. Ramos was found guilty of committing two felonies in San Francisco four years ago when he was a juvenile at the age of 17. His juvenile crimes included a gang-related assault and an attempted robbery of a pregnant woman. Unfortunately, these two felony convictions were just the beginning for Ramos. This is because San Francisco became a Sanctuary City in 1989 and its law prohibits officials from cooperating with federal officials in deporting illegal aliens.As a result, Ramos was not turned over by San Francisco juvenile justice officials to federal immigration authorities. So, the well-known convicted gang leader remained in the city after serving his time only to be arrested once again in early 2008 on weapons and gang related charges.Incredibly, two convicted felonies, a reputation as a well-known gang leader, and another arrest for weapons charges still did not get San Francisco to promptly report Ramos to federal immigration officials (ICE) for deportation. The sad fact is that he was released back onto the streets of San Francisco after being held for just two days.So, when Anthony Bologna and his two sons returned from a picnic on June 22, 2008, they were destined to become the victims of this lawless American frontier called the Sanctuary City. All three were gunned down with an AK-47 and brutally murdered in broad daylight. Edwin Ramos has been charged with the three slayings. It is still uncertain why Ramos committed the murders. It may have been road rage or it could have been a case of mistaken identity since he may have thought that Anthony Bologna was a member of a rival gang. Next, consider that Denver, Colorado is a city that officially and proudly promotes itself as a sanctuary for illegal aliens. The city has certainly lived up to that reputation in the case of illegal alien, Francis Hernandez. Hernandez was arrested sixteen times in five years in Colorado, but he was never reported to federal immigration officials or deported. His criminal charges included forgery, assault, theft, fraud, and driving under restraint. He has never held a driver's license.A few weeks ago, Hernandez was speeding in a Chevy Suburban and ran through a red light. His SUV hit a northbound white Mazda pickup and the impact of that terrible crash killed the two women in the truck and sent their vehicle cascading one hundred feet into the corner of a Baskin-Robbins in a Market Square shopping center, killing a three year old boy eating an ice cream cone. Hernandez fled the scene on foot, but was later captured and charged with his crime. Every day, a lack of Sanctuary City law enforcement protects the illegal immigrant, often at the expense of the American citizen. Local officials say that playing a role in immigration enforcement would create accusations of racial profiling and cause their departments to lose the trust of immigrant communities. It is thought that illegal immigrants would be reluctant to report crimes out of fear they will be deported.In the meantime, illegal immigrants are allowed sanctuary to murder, rape, and assault Americans. It is a perversity of this country's legal system which endangers every citizen who lives in the lawless American frontier known as the "Sanctuary City".
