Why did you join the vavy, army, marines, airforce?
Why did you decide to become a member of the army or navy or marines or air force. Do you regret doing it? If not why. I only ask because I think I want to join the army but idk.
Just what you tell the drill instructor "BECAUSE I LOVE MY COUNTRY!"
Don't join for money, glory, fame, etc. Join for yourself and your love of the country. I know I wouldn't want someone solely motivated by money to be on my 9...

Anyone interested in seeing Trinidad on the Nature of Things?
I am not sure how many people would have access to CBC and CBC Newsworld in Canada, but the Nature of Things hosted by David Suzuki did a documentary on the Caribbean. If you are interested in finding more about it, here is the link to the website with more information: http://www.cbc.ca/natureofthings/wc_treasureisland/index.html
I plan to record it.
I would love to see trinidad in the nature show or any show for that matter!!

Musee Rodin, A Museum Dedicated To The Works Of Auguste Rodin
The Musee Rodin is located in Paris, France. The museum was established in 1919 at the location of the Hotel Biron and its surrounding land areas. The museum was established following the demise of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Much of the museum displays the sculptured works of Auguste Rodin. Hotel Biron was used by Auguste Rodin as his place of residence commencing from the year 1908. Following 1908, Auguste Rodin donated his entire collection of works, his sculptures as well as some paintings of Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Vincent van Gogh which he had obtained over the years, to the French Government. But he made one request in return for his donation from the French Government, which was to turn the Hotel Biron in to a museum dedicated to his works.
Musee Rodin has some of the most important masterpieces created by Rodin; these include The Kiss and The Thinker. Much of Rodin’s sculptures are set the luscious green gardens that encompass the Musee Rodin. A casual restaurant and a small lake can be found towards the back of the Musee Rodin building. The museum can be easily accessed since it is situated in close proximity to the Varenne Metro stop. The Varenne Metro stop also features some of the works of Rodin along the platform. One can also find a room in the museum that is dedicated to the works of Camille Claudel.
While in Paris why not try a Paris hotel. A luxury hotel in Paris would provide some the best accommodation and facilities available.

Reinventing the Media Agency
I’ve done a lot of conceptual work lately about innovation and creative work processes within the media agency. It brings to mind a distinction Aristotle made which seems to be forgotten. He divided the world into two parts: the first in which things can't be other than they are and another in which things can be other that they are - a simple but very strong distinction. The first part is typified by the physical world where a rock is a rock and can't be anything else. In this world, Aristotle's analytics lay out a fabulous toolbox: rigorous, objective, quantitative analysis with a goal to establish and document the reality of the situation. This world is the most known, and most of marketing communication is created within this "unchangeable reality" where being consistent matters.
The other world, where things can be other than they are, is the world of people, of organizations and of cultures. For example, a bad communication strategy can be something else - a great communication strategy - if someone figures out how to turn it around. In this area, analytics are an inappropriate tool. Instead, Aristotle described the thinking tools: conversation, invention, and intention. Here our efforts aren't focused on the description of what is real but rather on the creation of something that does not currently exist, that must be first imagined.
Media agencies must operate within those distinctions. We need to deliver both hard and soft facts. We need to provide our clients with the rigorous and quantitative analysis; we can't run away from numbers. We still need to be a kind of accountant for our clients and describe reality by using hard facts, ROI, reach, awareness, etc. But we can't be stuck in that role. We need to evolve into a new type of media planner, into communication guides who take the clients, consumers and brands on a fascinating journey to the modern and fragmented world of plenty.
If media agencies want to keep up with the changes, embrace the media proliferation and get in touch with its most important client - human beings - we have to understand and operate in the second of the Aristotle worlds - the world where things can be changed via creativity and innovation. I know people are not so fond of change in general; we are afraid of losing control. For safety reasons we stick to routines. But if we media planners want to stay in the game, we don't need to get a fancy new title. In order to stay in the game, we have to develop new skills, be enthusiastic and curious. We must believe and dare to influence the world and make media plans and brands look different. Media agencies need to reinvent themselves to face the changing and challenging world. We need to reinvent the role of media planner so it operates between soft and hard facts and drives innovation.
The fact is that CMOs expect media agencies to move forward--not adapt to an upcoming future, but understand that future is now. New technologies are introduced nearly every day. This technology influences consumer behavior, shifts control to the consumer and creates personalized and customized media. Content, storage and interactivity are what matter. It requires us to be creativity and innovation driven, but none of this technology can replace common sense and a deep knowledge of media, consumers and most of all, knowledge about our clients’ business. A mix of innovative thinking, hard facts and KNOWLEDGE - the biggest assets of the 21st century - is a lethal weapon that takes us toward success and makes us different from the competition.
Some of you probably think this is obvious. Is it? I guess the reality can sometimes be different and bitter. Many of us have received those short briefs at least once: “We are going to run a TV campaign, as we have just produced a TV spot. How many GRPs can we get for $xxx?” And I guess many of us have tried to ‘copy & paste’ the media plans from the last year. Many clients and many planners favor a tested solution. After all, no one can be fired for using TV. Not yet. However, this attitude will not take us any further, will not allow us to become successful and achieve financial goals. We must forget about good old flowcharts and apply the “blank sheet” method, meaning starting from scratch with our media mix strategies.
“The innovator has as his enemies those who did well under the old conditions,” as Machiavelli said once.
Being different isn’t easy. Innovation is not easy. They are necessary.

Self-talk - Opposing Views On It Revealed
The issue of self-talk comprises among the most debatable topics of the modern times. In spite of there being no evidence to support its credibility, self-talk has proved to be extremely effective in helping millions of individuals get a grip on their lives.
Self-talk is explained by two opposing schools of thought. One of these schools of thought has no faith in self-talk and claims that there is nothing called self-talk. Therefore, according to this school, learning does not take place at the subliminal level.
The other school of thought, on the other hand, believes that learning at the subliminal level is a common process. They consider self-talk as a process by which our mind perceives below the last level of sensation, a form of perception that happens even when the person is not aware of it.
A large number of companies have tapped into the commercial potentials of self-talk. The market is now flooded with products called self-talk aids that claim to help people learn more and even develop a newer, more desirable personality. These aids claim to work by providing people with the right type of perception that will help them develop the personalities of their choice.
Subliminal learning has always fascinated people. Many people purchase and try these products. Perhaps the appeal of these products lie in the fact that they are all based on a issue that has been debated for several years.
While a number of people are supportive of self-talk techniques, an equal number of people do not even believe in its existence. People, however, purchase a number of CDs and other products out of fascination for the subject and also in order to prove for themselves, once and for all, whether such a thing as self-talk exists.
One can safely agree that learning at the subliminal level is possible. Ample proof exists that healing the mind and body is possible through self-talk. If you would like to participate in the experiment and purchase some self-talk aids to find out the truth for yourself, knowing the basics about self-talk is essential.
While some people think that self-talk aids are a positive approach toward helping people develop positive thinking patterns, others beg to differ. People who also believe in the power of self-talk agree that the use of self-talk aids might impact the human mind in a dangerous way. The CDs and videos, which comprise most self-talk aids, have a specific order of sounds and colors, which might not be good for the mind.
Take care not to purchase any product from the market out of curiosity. Nobody knows the actual truth about self-talk, due to which it is impossible to say for certain whether it is healthy or not to use the self-talk aids available in the market. In this situation, you have to learn as much as possible about the subject before you purchase any product to help you learn at a subliminal level.
