How to get into medical school straight from high school?

Does anyone have any information on how to get into medical school in the USA) straight out of high school? What is this program called? Any specific schools that you know of out there? How do I begin researching them? I have no idea what to google to get information on them. Any advice from someone who has done this before?

You are probably thinking about the Combined Degree programs offered at 36 schools in the US; however, you do not go straight to medical school from high school. That does not occur in the US.

A Combined Degree is an alliance between a medical school and an undergrad university. You complete three years at the university and if you have met all requirements, then enter the medical school. After completing the first year of medical school you are awarded your undergrad degree.

What was the name of the famous singer in the 1940s who made "God Bless America" famous?

She was chubby, and pleasant, and I remember seeing pictures of her when I was a child in the '40s. It seems like her name was Kate Something. She had a home on the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York.

It was Kate Smith who first sang the revised version of God Bless America rewritten by Irving Berlin in 1938, Berlin originally rewrote it for a musical in 1918 and rewrote it when Nazism was rising in 1938. Woody Guthrie wrote This Land is Your Land in response.

Are the ideas and things we leave behind before we die more important than being alive?

our ideas, our thoughts, a musicians music, a painter's painting, our devotion to loved ones. Is what we leave behind what is more important than our well being? Granted, without our life, we would never have been able to leave behind anything at all, but since we are lucky enough to have a life, are the things we leave behind more important than death and the state of life we have?

in a material sense, yes, the things we leave behind are more important to our surviving relations than they would have been while we are still alive, in fact, some of the things that will be cherished the most might be things that our loved ones really hated... go figure

and yes, sadly, artists' works do become more valuable after they die, I think both Elvis Presly and Michael Jackson are good current examples, or say a Jimmy Dean, who only made a handful of movies but is a legendary movie star who died young

but spiritually, no, no "thing" we leave behind is of any value, only the decisions we made, the choices we made, the values we held, and the love we gave will matter in the long run
